The IEEE Student Branch of Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering was founded in the year 1995 under the guidance of Prof. B.R. Prabhu. IEEE has been the foremost proponent of technical education for aspiring engineers worldwide. At CRCE, IEEE helps mould engineers, who by education and experience give evidence of competence in this world. The 360 degree approach at IEEE-CRCE provides the students an in-depth knowledge and experience on the latest technology.

In the past year, IEEE-CRCE and WIE (Women in engineering) -CRCE has organized a host of events, technical and fun alike. Where Master Slave Robotics sharpens a student’s technical skills, the Industrial Visit to Godrej and Boyce exposes a student to the functioning of a real industry. Where IEEE Spark taught the students of Fr. Agnel Ashram BalBhavan students the basics of Paint and Microsoft Word, the participants had a gala time guessing the circuits in Tech-charades.

This year, IEEE-CRCE brings to you the fifth edition of Technomania. Technomania 2013 is a technical project, paper presentation and technical quiz competition, which became a National level event in the year 2012. Among the hundreds of project and technical paper abstracts we receive every year, our highly experienced panel of judges screen them and choose the best, which compete on the day of the event. Participant colleges not only include top local institutes like DJ Sanghavi, IIT, VJTI, but also reputed outstation institutes like Nirma College of Engineering, BITS Goa and NITs. The cash prizes as high as Rs. 50,000 are up for grabs.
